I sent a message about Wilder's article in the Chronicle of Higher Ed a few weeks ago...what's ya'lls thoughts?

Getting Started...Thoughts So Far

I'll be using this "spot" to mostly chat about things related to RSCH1501 and WebCT. I have another personal blog about my current RSCH1502 experiences.

Issues to think about so far:

-orientations: This semester they were location based. Should they instead by INSTRUCTOR based?

-WebCT student loads...not having students in until the first week of an eight week course was over! Should we not change the course content BUT make the course the first ten weeks?

-Requiring new hires to teach face-to-face and use WebCT as a teaching aid BEFORE they teach online so they get familar with the WebCT features and interface
